Take Action!

Welcome to our community of activists!

Are you feeling overwhelmed and despondent about all the impacts from the Trump Administration and don't know what to do? Do you want to take a stand but would like to know what the most effective actions are? Do you want to join a community of other people who care about our society and are willing to prioritize time to help safeguard it? If you answered yes to any of these, you have found yourself in the right spot!

Here are three simple steps you can take right now:

1) Join the Take Action Team

We are a group of individuals who are working in tandem to take a stand against the Trump Administration and are manifesting a better future. By joining us, you'll receive a weekly email (approximately) that offers specific actions you can do to fight for the change you would like to see in the world. Joining is as easy as sending an email to say "I'd like to join!" While you are at it, make sure you are also signed up to receive the Hood River County Democrats monthly newsletter so you can stay up to date on elections, local and national, and upcoming events.

2) Read & Use the "Your Power, Your Voice" Take Action Toolkit

This Toolkit has been written specifically for you and other residents of Hood River County who are ready to take a stand in ways both big and small. In this guide, you'll find concrete suggestions, tools, and resources to help you stand up for our democracy, and the values that you believe in. The Toolkit provides ideas for actions that take only a few seconds to those requiring a longer-term commitment. Exactly where you are in your journey is perfect, and we are excited to meet you there! Click to download.

3) Sign Up to Volunteer with the Hood River County Democrats.

Are you a tech wiz? Sign maker? People organizer? Editor? Cake baker? Videographer? Spanish speaker? Social media maven? Whatever your skills, we could probably use them! Check out our Volunteer page, and let us know via the form what looks good to you. We’ll get back with you and get you plugged in!
