GREAT! Registered Dems should contact our Campaign Services Coordinator early in the exploratory process. We offer prospective candidates information and resources to help them make their decisions. Once they have filed for office, we offer qualified candidates a wide array of campaign supports including consideration for endorsement.
Candidate Filing Periods - 2024
May election (County Commission): Ends March 12 *
November election (Mayors, City Councilors): July 18 - Aug 27 *

HRCD Endorsement of Candidates
We encourage candidates to file early so they can be considered for HRCD’s endorsement. We interview candidates during the last week of the filing period. Later filing candidates who promptly request consideration for HRCD endorsement will be offered an interview time at the convenience of HRCD.
